Candida Albicans is one of the many yeast’s present in the large bowel, vaginal tract, mouth and throat and under normal conditions in a health individual is compatible with good health. However, when this yeast overgrows the immune system becomes stressed and the result is an increase in ‘unfriendly’ bacteria, parasites, food intolerances and infections. When this occurs the normal lining of the intestinal tract can become damaged leading to food intolerance.
Yeast is usually kept under control by good bacteria, the immune system and intestinal PH. However, under certain circumstances an overgrowth can occur and become problematic causing symptoms everywhere in the body.
