Important Information if using your GP

Please take the time to read through the topics below before proceeding.

What should I do?

You need to make an appointment to see your GP. Blood sugar imbalance is not a term used or recognised by GPs and the NHS, therefore you would need to request an Insulin test when visiting your GP.

What does Insulin testing involve?

Testing Insulin levels require a fasting blood test and may also include Cholesterol levels. The additional cholesterol markers tested will be at your GP’s discretion or at your request. Your G.P’s practice may have a nurse who can take a blood sample from you, however, in most cases you will be asked to visit your local hospital.

How long will it take to process?

Results turn-around times for blood tests organised through a GP vary. On average results should take 2 weeks.

What support will we provide you with?

Unfortunately, our Nutritional Therapy Team only provide on line support with certain test that are purchased on-line. However your GP will be able to provide you with the support you require with no fees involved.

Who carries out the test?

The NHS via your GP

How much will the Comprehensive Parasitology test cost?

If you do it with your GP then there should be no charge
